So, as many of you know already, we had quite a blizzard come through and I captured some of the craze on tape. During the night, Linz and I stood out on the balcony and watched the snow whipping and churning throughout the parking lot below.
The next morning, we stepped out from our apartment building to find the community out in full. Many were attempting to shovel themselves out. Some had snow blowers. Others were less fortunate with only dustpans at their disposal!
Linz and I had no shovel, so we merely took turns with other folks that we've met, shoveling our neighbors' vehicles out, pushing and guiding their cars out of the massive drifts.
We met a lesbian couple, an Indian man who rambled and pointed with limited English skills, an amateur wrestler who said very strange things and even a woman who annoyed most of the neighbors and promised to pray for us all since we helped her get her car out. "I promise, promise, promise I will..." she said.
Weird.
